Outreach

Finishing the Unfinished Task through... Outreach

We seek to stimulate an enthusiasm for the Gospel in our congregation which overflows to those around them in their everyday lives. We further stimulate the enthusiasm by creatively demonstrating the relevance of the Gospel to people's lives in a variety of ways. We reach beyond our borders through local and world missions. We give financial aid to PCA missionaries, and dedicate ourselves to prayer for those missionaries and their related organizations. We want to be a church of people dedicated to helping others. A willingness to love, give, and serve is encouraged by providing opportunities for mercy ministries under the direction of our deacons. We have developed some specific ministries we hope will complement the individual witness of each of our members:

Faith Promise Missions

Faith Promise Giving is the method by which we support missions, both in our own country and around the world. We are especially committed to the planting of churches on our continent through Mission to North America and around the world through Mission to the World. Both of these are agencies of the Presbyterian Church in America, which is a pacesetter among American churches in fulfilling Christ's command to make disciples of all the nations.

MOPS

Mothers of Preschoolers is a bi-weekly ministry of WIC designed for mothers with children under school age, infant through Kindergarten. The goal of MOPS is to nurture all mothers to be the very best mothers they can be by providing opportunities for friendship with other moms as well as teaching from older, more experienced women. Moms will also have an opportunity to be creative during a time of crafts and creative activity. The children are in MOPPETS, a program of loving care and teaching just for them.

Pioneer Clubs

Pioneer Girls and Pioneer Boys, for children in grades 1 through 6, meet on Thursday nights during the school year at 6:30 p.m. These programs offer girls and boys a wide range of wholesome and fun activities with opportunities for spiritual growth. A dedicated staff of volunteers serve as mature Christian role models and give the children personal attention. All children are welcome to participate.

Vacation Bible School

With a rich heritage of children's ministries, our Summer VBS proves to be a challenging time for children ages five through sixth grade. Bible memory and fun times come together through a different theme each year. Our curriculum is designed to introduce neighborhood children to the Gospel of God's Grace and to strengthen the faith of children in the Church.

Diaconal Mercy Ministries

As our society continues to decay, we are confronted with growing physical and emotional needs. But the Deacons are finding broader avenues for us to minister to a world in desperate need, and they are finding ways to equip church members to help them minister mercy in the name of Christ.
